What is acoustic plaster?

Acoustic plaster is a special finish for walls and ceilings that combines sound absorbing properties with a smooth, solid appearance. Ideal for both residential and commercial environments, it effectively reduces noise levels and manages echo and reverberation. It is particularly beneficial in environments such as high end homes, restaurants, museums and atriums where controlling sound clarity and ambience is essential.

Low maintenance

Acosorb acoustic plaster is easy to clean by using a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush. The soft brush ensures that the walls and ceilings are not damaged. We are happy to provide you with full maintenance instructions.

Available in a wide range of colors

Acosorb acoustic plaster is available in a range of colors. In addition to our standard white product, it is also possible to produce plasterwork in a customer specific color. In this case pigment is added to the plaster and then applied.

Features of our sound absorbing plasterwork

The acoustic plaster has a smooth finish and is applied in two different thicknesses. With a layer of just 32mm you can achieve an aw = 0.95. Other features of this product are:

 

  • The base of the plaster consists of a mineral wool sheet
  • The board material is finished with a smooth acoustic plaster layer in a single phase
  • It’s a mineral plaster
  • The product is fully bonded
  • Optimizes the lifespan and fire safety of rooms
  • Measured in accordance with the NEN-EN-ISO 354:2003 standard
  • VOC CDPH 1350 Standard Method Version 1.2, pass on all modeling scenarios
  • Antimicrobial activity ASTM G21-15
  • Fungal resistance BS1982 part 0-3:1982
  • Fungal ASTM D3273 – 2021, Rating 10
  • Fire resistance BS476 Part 7, Class 1
  • Fire resistance ASTM E84-23b, Class A
